Congratulation to Rosario Gutierrez for being selected as the Teacher of The Year for La Encantada Elementary. Rosario is married to Ted Gutierrez of Raymondville and has two sons, Jaime and Teodoro Jr., grandchildren Isacc, Michelle and Eevee. She has been in the education field for 25 years. Her teaching career began as a paraprofessional with Raymondville ISD. She earned her degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minors in English and Kinesiology from UTB/TSC in 1995. In 1998, she obtained her bilingual certification. She has worked with San Perlita ISD, Lasara ISD, and IDEA Public Schools in the Pre-K, kinder and first grade levels. She also worked as a CIRCLE mentor of Early Childhood teachers with the University of Texas Health Science Center. In November of 2016, Mrs. Gutierrez joined the amazing educational team at La Encantada Elementary! Rosario Gutierres states “Working at La Encantada Elementary has been a true blessing.
