Principal's Message
Hello, everyone, I'm excited to introduce myself as the new Principal of La Encantada Elementary School. My name is Sylvia C. Garcia, and this journey means a lot to me because it's a return to my alma mater, a place deeply rooted in our educational community.
My background in education spans over 20 years within San Benito CISD, and I bring with me a wealth of experience, a dedication to excellence, and a strong commitment to empowering both students and staff. I proudly call myself a product of San Benito CISD, having attended La Encantada Elementary, Miller Jordan Middle School, and San Benito High School.
My career in education began as a teacher at Landrum Elementary, where I had the privilege of shaping young minds and laying the foundation for their academic development. I continued my journey at Ed Downs Elementary, gaining valuable insights into effective school management. Over the years, I've had the honor of serving as a school Counselor, Special Education Counselor, and Special Education Coordinator. My most recent role was as an Assistant Principal at Dr. C.M. Cash Elementary, where I deepened my understanding of school leadership and success.
As the new La Encantada Elementary Principal, I am deeply grateful for the trust placed in me, and I am committed to fostering an environment where students can flourish, building their own deep roots that will sustain them throughout their lives.
I firmly believe that elementary education is a critical phase in a child's life, and the impact we make during these years is immeasurable. My goal is to empower our students to reach their full potential in terms of academic growth and emotional development. I want to inspire in them a love for learning and the confidence to succeed.
I'm thrilled to be part of this community and look forward to working together to create a bright future for our students. Thank you for the warm welcome, and let's embark on this exciting journey of learning and growth.
